Alpha and beta reading give you an idea of how readers might react to your book before it’s published. This gives you time to address anything that might negatively affect the reader experience. Being so close to your own work, you can’t always anticipate what other people might think of your story. Getting feedback from others is invaluable.
Traditionally, alpha reading is done after the first rough draft. Beta reading is only for your final draft, before proofreading. I can alpha-read for you any time before the final draft.
And I don’t only alpha/beta read stories. I can also do it for plot outlines, character backstories and profiles, world building, magic systems, and more.
I can alpha/beta read your entire manuscript or focus on just a few chapters or specific elements. So, I can help with the middle chapters if they’re a little saggy (this is a common issue with novels) or only tackle your book’s dialogue.
